From October 2009 to June 2010 Ania Bas has been working with Year 9 students from Stoke Newington School & Sixth Form in London. They have been investigating the sites around the school grounds as well as personal spaces within it. This is how Isles of Silly came to life – the spaces of exchange, anger, rest, laughter and silliness.
The culmination of the project, a series of silly events during lunchtimes, takes place from 5 -9 July 2010 in the school grounds: featuring micro-multi- language sessions, human-spelling, a live gig by One Man Destruction Show and furry pests! by The Society of Wonders.
The lunchtime events are open to all students, the staff and local community.
